"We Are Closed" is a short experimental prototype made in Godot as part of my learning process with the engine. It's not a full game, and it's definitely not polished — but it is a playable idea, and one I thought was fun enough to share.

The Concept

The store is closed… but the customers didn’t get the memo. Your job? Remove them from the premises — or give in and take their money. Armed with a hand scanner that stuns shoppers, you can pick them up and eject them via the front door.

Barricade the back entrances to prevent more customers from slipping in, and try to keep your store from being overrun after hours.

Gameplay Features

  • Scan/stun mechanic using a handheld device

  • Pick up and eject customers

  • Barricade system to block off back entrances

  • A deliberately simple visual style with solid colors and outlines

Why This Exists

This was made as a personal learning project — I used it to get familiar with Godot and experiment with scene setup, input handling, and simple AI.

I don’t know if I’ll develop it further or remake it in the future, but I figured it was worth putting out there as-is.

Known Things

  • This is a prototype: it's short, it's rough around the edges, and it's not balanced.

  • No save system — just jump in and play.

Thanks for checking it out!

this is sick will you continue fleshing it out?

I’m not entirely sure yet, I honestly used this to start learning Godot and I really liked the ideas I had for this game. I might flesh it out further as I start to learn a bit more.
